POST OFFICE NOTICES
Malls close at the Chief Post Office for the following places aa under, subject to the necessary alterations THURSDAY, JANUARY 30. For Northern provinces of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, per Rotorua, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on February Ist, and will bo duo in London on March 18th. The next mail for the United Kingdom via Southampton and llriudisi will close at Christchurch on February 12th. The mail via Brindisi will bo duo in London on April 7th, and the mail via Southampton on April 14th. NOTICE. A travelling Post Office having been established on the Southern line of railway, letters bearing a late fee of two pence may be posted at any station in the mail carriage attached to the express train, and they will be included in the mails made up in transit for offices on the main line and branches.
