Examiner, harquo, 250 tons, Scoullar, for Greymouth. C. W. Turner, -.gent. The U.S.S. Co.’s s.s. Albion arrived from Wellington at 7 o’clock this morning, with passengers as above. She leaves for Melbourne via Port Chalmers and Bluff this afternoon. The steamer Star of the South arrived last night from Greymouth She will probably leave to-night for Titnarn, Oamaru, and Dunedin. The favorite excursion steamer Akaroa will make a special trip t> Akaroa on Fri, ay, returning on Saturday evening. The p.s Lyttelton towed in the barque Sunbeam to No. 3 Wharf on Saturday night whore she was berthed in the place vacated by the Star. The Marmion was taken to Peacock’s Wharf. The difficulty of securing a crew for S.S. and Co.’s ship Euterpe, loaded at Port Chalmers for London, was met by a transfer from here of se\en of the hands belonging to the barque Bobington of tbo same line. The oiler was made to the men by the company’s agents here on Saturday morning, and the men left by the Wanaka the same afternoon. The Hurunui, of the N.Z.S. Co.’s lino, it is said, will proceed hence to the Bluff to load. The new screw steamer Glenelg, built and engined by Messrs Blackwood and Gordon, for Captain McGregor, of Auckland, wont down the Clyde on November 2nd on her trial trip, and returned in the evening. After adjusting compasses, the steamer proceeded to Womyss Bay, where she ran the measured mile four different times, and attained a speed of 10$ knots, which was satisfactory to both owner and builders. The Glenelg sailed for Auckland on the 21st November.
