The steamer Southern Cross lias been taken oft her advertised trip North to make two trips to Gore Bay. THE JASPER, FROM GLASGOW. This fine vessel made the harbour this morning at eight o'clock, after a passage of 112 days from port to port. She is au iron-built barquentine-ngged clipper, of 250 tons register, aud has closo upon 500 tons of general merchandise in her hold. She left Glasgow on October 2nd ; has three passengers (Captain Grant's wifo and two daughters). Captain Grant was here last in the ship Himalaya, She comes cousigned to her owner, Mr C. W. Turner.
