[Via Bluff.J Melbourne, January 14. Tenders for the International Exhibition building in Carlton Gardens are expected to be called shortly, and work will then be commenced in earnest. Exertions are being made to have the main hall and grand entrance of Parliament buildings completed in time for the opening of next session . The Garonne left Plymouth on the 30th December, for Melbourne, with 407 passengers . Efforts to capture Martin Wilberg, the Avoca robber, have not yet met with success. During the voyage of the Enrynone from Liverpool a saloon passenger T. Healey, committed suicide by jumping overboard. The Marble statu*s of the Queen, Prince, and Princess of Wales we c presented to the trustees of the National Gallery on the 9th by the Hon. W. J. Clarke in the presence of a large assemblage. The statues, which were executed to Mr Clarke’s order by the late Chas. Summers are much admired as works of art. Sir Redmond Barry in accepting the donation on behalf of the trustees, expressed a strong opinion in favor of opening the National Gallery on Sunday afternoon , A sculling match is arranged between Peter Sullivan of Sydney and Roberts of Melbourne for .£1(10 a side to come off in March. Parliament is further prorogued to 22nd February. Steps are being taken to initiate a fund for the relief of the shareholders in the City of Glasgow Bank. Tho steamship Northumberland arrived at Aden on January Gth, all well. Sir Samuel Wilson proceeds to England by next mail. ~ No authentic news of the Mansfield murderers has been received during tho last feu days, although sensational rumors continue abundant. Walter and John Stewart living near Chiltern, were arrested on Friday as suspected accomplices of Kelly. In the house where they live there were discovered firearms and titty rounds of metallic cartridges. Walter Stewart was lodged in Heechworth Gaol. ~ Twenty prisoners were brought before Mr Foster, K.M., on Saturday, charged under the sth section of the Felons apprehension Act, witu having, on tho 10th December, given aid to Kelly and mates to rob the National Ban Euroa. All the prisoners but one were remanded to Beechworth. Gould was remanded to Enroa. The four men who crossed the Murrambidgee, and were supposed to bo the Kellys, are ascertained to have been drovoi s. George H. Richardson, Collector of Customs at Belfast, is charged with embezzlement of Government money. Defalcations to a considerable extent have been discovered already.
