Lord Normanby’s Departure. Melbourne, January 20. The Government has placed the Colonial war sloop Victoria at the disposal of Lord Normanby to bring his Excellency and suite to Melbourne, as no vessel belonging to the New Zealand Government was available. It is understood, however, that Lord Normanby declines the offer on the ground of having made arrangements for going per Arawata and the overland journey from Christchurch.
