CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, January 18. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Dhunk and Disorderly.—Ellen Boyah and Dominick Mullaly were charged with this offence. The former was lined TOe- and the latter 20s, LYTTELTON. Saturday, January 18. [Before Dr. Donald and H. R. Webb, Esq., J.P.] Deserting Seamen. —Acting Detective Moutrtiy testified that he arrested J. H. Herman arid James Roach, deserters from the American barque Willard Mudgett, which sailed a week ago for Callao. Sergeant-major O’Grady asked the Bench to remand the prit.or.ers for a week, to allow him to see the American Consul. Granted. Breach of the LicensikoJLaw. —A charge’ against Vincent Belgrave, of the Lyttelton Hotel, for selling liquor on Sunday last, to other than buna fide boarders, was dismissed for want of satisfactory evidence. A similar charge against B. O’Brien, of the EmpireHotel, fell through §rom the same cause,
