Port Chalmers, December 31. Arrived, last night, the New Zealand Company's ship Waugauui, eighty-nine days out from London, with 900 tons cargo, 20 tons powder, and 50 passengers. Capiain Watt reports on October sth the death of Mr James Pawn, aged thirty-nine, a resident of Christehurch, who succumbed to pneumonia. Bi/ctr, December 31. The Tararna arrived at 10 a.m. to-day. She left Melbourne at 3.55 p.m., arrived at Hoburt Town on 3 p.m. on the 26th, loft on the 27th at 4.15 p.m., experienced rough weather on the voyage. She brings 60 saloon and 29 steerage passengers for all ports. She sails at 4 p.m. for Dnnediu. Sailed—The Hopeful, barque, for Lyttelton. Arrived—Firefly from Newcastle. The saloon passengers by the Tararna from here are JDr and Mrs Biunden, Mr Muller, and eight steerage. from oor own correspondent. ■ , Tuiaru, December 31. steamer with mail and delayed passengers leaves here at 5 to-night.
