SITTINGS IN CHAMBERS AND BANCO. Monday, December 23, (Before His Honor Mr Justice Johnston.) His Honor hold a sittings in Chambers at 11 a.m, HENDERSON V. NAPIER HARBOR BOARD, In this case, on tho application of Mr Garrick, his Honor fixed the time and place of trial by special jury at Christchurch, on January 15th. CRETE V. KINO, Mr George Harper, for plaintiff, applied herein for settlement of issues and fixing of time and place of trial. Mr Garrick for defendant. This was an action brought by tho plaintiff against tho defendant for damages sustained by him, owing to the said defendant selling purple top white turnip* sued to the plaintiff as purple top yellow turnip seed. The declaration further alleged that tho seed was not marketable or good sound saed, therefore the plaintiff claimed to recover £2OOO damages, Tho issues were settled, and tho time and place of trial fixed by special jury for Tuesday, 14th January, at Christchurch. BLANCHETTE Y. WTL3ON, Mr Garrick applied herein to have the suit sot aside on tho ground of irregularity. There was no appearance on tho part of tho plaintiff. His Honor made an order setting aside the suit with costs. BE ROBERT DAY. The bankrupt in person applied for his discharge. His Honor made the order as prayed. BE ESTATE OR W. MAPLES. Mr Slater applied for a rule nisi, calling upon the trustees in the estate of tho late W. Maples to show cause why one George Osborne should not participate in the dividend payable to proved creditors in the estate. His Honor granted a rule nisi, returnable after vacation. BE JAMES S, ANNAND, Mr George Harper applied herein for the discharge of the debtor. His Honor made the order. WILL OF ROBERT ALEXANDER COLEE, DECEASED. Mr George Harper applied for probate herein to Elizabeth Anderson Colee, as widow and solo executrix. His Honor made the order, granting probate as prayed. WILL OF PHILIP UANMEE, DECEASED. Mr Fercday applied for probate of the will and codicil of tho deceased to Humphrey Hanmor and Thomas Maberloy Hasaal as executors thereof. Order as prayed. IN BANCO. Tho cases of Dransflold v Oroyko, Regina v Green, Cunningham v Dann, Hossack v Gardener, and Milford v Lowe stood over until banco sittings on the 9th January. CRIMINAL SITTINGS.
