Turner, agent. The steamer Eingarooma arrived at 10 a.m. today from Melbourne via Hobart Town, the Bluff, and Port Chalmers, having left Melbourne on the llth instant. She sails this evening for Wellington. The s.s. Star of the South, from Oamaru, arrived lit noon to-day. She is announced to leave for Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland this evening. Mr C. W, Turner’s barque Examiner left the harbor this morning for Greymouth. The Waitangi, ship, for London, belonging to the New Zealand Shipping Company’s line, cleared at the Customs this afternoon, and is expected to sail to-night. The steamer Akaroa makes a special trip to Akaroa to-morrow afternoon, returning on SaturAmerican ship Alexander McNeil left the harbour yesterday afternoon for Newcastle, N.S.W.. in company with the barque Bells, bound for the same port. The regular coaster s.s. Southern Cross arrived last evening from Wellington. Her departure for Auckland, via Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne, is postponed until to-morrow at 5 p.m. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. " Wellington, December 19. The ship Eakaia will clear, to-day for London With a cargo of colonial produce, valued at £IOO,OOO, Of wool alone she has 4618 bales, 288 casks tallow, 34 drums iron sand, 42 boxes hermatito paint, besides a large quantity of miscellaneous produce. New Plymouth, December 18. Sailed—9 a.m., Taiaroa for Nelson, with San Francisco mail, Auckland, December 18. Arrived—Clan Fergusson from London, with a Cargo valued at £26,000 ; and a number of passengers, all well. Hokitika, December 18. The Stella arrived to-day. She left Jackson’s Bay last evening at 7 o’clock. She took on board at the bay eight families, in all 42 passengers. She shipped here 20 adults and 25 children, and sailed for Taranaki. There was no appearance of the Maori when she left.
