POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails clone at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subjoot to the necessary alterations:— TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17. For Otago.per Wanaka, at 7.30 a.m.: Into fee letters, 8 a.m.; late letter box, guard's vau, 9 a.m. WEDNESDAY. DECEMBER 18. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per liing.iTooma. at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern ports of New Zealand, her Southern Cross, at 3.15 p.m.: late fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter-box, guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per lui, at 4.40 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for Tui's mails. For the United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi (specially addressed letters only), India. China and the East, Australian Colonies, and Otago, per Arawata, at 1.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; lato letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. Books and newspapers at 1 p.m. Eegistered loiters and money orders at 12.30 The mail via Southampton will be duo in London on February 17th, and tho mail via Brindisi on February 10th, 1879. Tho next mail for tho United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close on January 3rd, and will be due in Loudon on February 18th, 1879. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Post master.
