Courier, ketch, 31 tons, Sinclair, for Pigeon Bay. Master, agent. The s.s. Star of the South cleared the Customs this morning. She sails South to-day. The Wakatipn arrived in harbor this morning from Sydney and Wellington, and sailed at 1 p.m. for Port Chalmers. Tho Columbia, from Havelock, arrived this morning. The Chusan and Cite &' Aleth sailed this morning. Tho Josophine, schooner, was loading at Napier for this port on Saturday last. The place of the unfortunate steamer Taranaki in the Union Steamship Company's service is to be filled by the Ladybird. Captain Garrard, it is eaid, will be transferred from the Taupo to his old position as master of her. The schooner Onward, Captain Joss, arrived from the Bluff yesterday morning. She left on the 4th, and had variable winds up the coast to arrival as above.
The brig Fawn, Captain "Veel, left Newcastle on November 25th, and had strong variable winds across to arrival in harbor yesterday afternoon. The brigantine Flora, Captain Dillner, from Kaipara, anchored off the Breakwater yesterday afternoon about four o'clock, after a rnn of four days. She reports having left Kaipara at mid-day on the 6th inst., with a light N.E. wind; passed Cape Egmont the following night; fresh N.W. winds through the Straits; passed Cape Campbell Sunday evening; had light N.E. wiud to Kaikoura, and easterly from there to anchorage. Mr J. E. Eigg, of Lyttelton, was the purchaser of Miller's slip, disposed of by tender through Mr J. Fletcher last Monday. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Auckland, December 10. The mail steamer Australia arrived, with outward mails for San Francisco, after a passage of four days eight hours. Sailed—4.ls p.m., Australia, for Honolulu. 4.15 p.m., Botorua, for Sydney. 5.30 p.m., Wanaka, for the Sonth. Passengers for Lyttelton—Mrs Hill and Mr Drngg. Saxon, schooner, for Lyttelton. The Hinemoa has gone to the Kawau to convey Sir Geo. Grey to the Thames. Wellington, December 10. Arrived—Ship Otaki, with a good number of passengers, but no Government immigrants. The Agent-General telegraphs, under date London, December 6th, that the ship Wellington sailed for Port Chalmers, with 332 immigrants, and the Warwick, with 201 passengers, for Nelson and Wellington. The Zealandia's cargo for London consists of about 5000 bales wool, 600 sacks flour, 172 casks tallow, 287 cases preserved meat, and other articles of produce and sundries. Westport, December 10. The schooner Ocean Bird, from Lyttelton to Charleston, has put in here, and will probably discharge cargo. Port Chalmers, December 10. Arrived—Ship Canterbury, with 343 immigrants and 1000 tons cargo, eighty-eight days from Glasgow. All the people have enjoyed good health, and are in every respect the best body of immigrants that have arrived here. Arawata, from the Bluff. At the heads a ship, supposed to be the Waipa, from London. Sailed—6.4s p.m., Maori, for Tiniaru, with Suez mail. Arrived—Palace, barque, from Wangaroa.
