POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20. Supplementary mails for the United Kingdom, Australian Colonies, &c., per express train to Port Chalmers, will close at this office at 7 a.m. For Northern ports, per Taupo, at 1.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. F r Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth, per Star of the South, at 3.15 p,m. ; late fee letters, 3.85 p.m.; guard’s van, railway station, 4 p.m. train. For Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 4,45 p.m. Late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21. For Wellington and Sydney, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. The next mail outwards, via San Francisco, closes at Christchurch on Friday, December 6th, This mail is duo in London on January 21st, 1879. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
