Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the neoessary alterations l - uEi)AYj NQVEMBER „ For Otogo, per Ladybird, at 11.30 a m.; late fee letters, 11.50 a.m. ; guard's van, railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. DAYj NOVEMBER 18 . For Nelson, Westport, and Groymonth, per Maori at 11.30a.m. ; late fee letters, 11.50 a.m.; guard's van, railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Tarauaki, at 3.15 p m.; late fee letters, 3.35 p.m. ; guard's van, railway % tio r D N eK Weftort, and Greyniouthper Star of the South, at 3.15 p.m.; late tfo letters, 3. j a p.m.; guard's van, railway station, 4 p.m. tiain. The ne'ct mail outwards, via Bnoz (specially nd,lvpss,..l letters only), will close at Chmtchnrch on Tuesday, 10th November, The mail via Southampton is duo in London on January 20th, and via Rrindisi on January 13th, 1879. The next mail outwards, via San Francisco, closes at Cluistchurch on Friday, December 6th. This mail is due in Chief Postmaater.
