POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14. f For Northern ports, per Taiaroa, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. ; guard's van, railway Station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tni, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.36 p.m.; guard’s van, railway station, 4 p.m. train. r The next mail outwards, via Suez (specially addressed letters only}, closes at Christchurch on Tuesday, 10th November, The mail via Southampton is due in London on January 20th, and via Brindisi on January 13th, 1879. The nest mail outwards, via San Francisco, closes at Christchurch on Friday, December 6th. The mail is due m London on January 21st, 1879. biohhi j. juioh.. Chief Postmaster.
