ARRIVAL OF THE ALEXANDER McNEILL FROM NEW YORK. The ship Alexander McNeill, 1088 tons, Captain Sproul, from New York, with a cargo of reapers and binders and 60 tons slate, arrived at 5 p.m. yesterday, aud anchored olf Rhodes’ Bay. She was built iu Waldobi ro, Ataiue, United States, aud is a handsome wooden vessel, nine years old. Her captain reports leaving New York on July 13th,and having light winds and calms to Equator, which was crossed forty-three days out. Had fair S.E. trades, but after passing Tristan d’ Acuuha, bad heavy cyclones to 70 E. Had flue westerly weather running down easting, sighting Cape Farewell on Saturday last. In the Straits experienced lierce nor’-wester, obliging vessel to Uy-to for twelve hours oil Stephen’s Islau I. The same gale prevailed to Cape Campbell, which was passed at noon on Sunday, thence light variables aud N.E. to arrival as above, the passage having thus occupied 122 days. The vessel comes consigned to the New Zealand Shipping Company. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, November 12.
