Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations THUESDAY, OCTOBEE 29. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per “Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m, ; railway station, 2.10 p.m. train. For Wellington and Nelson, per Eingarooma, at 1.50 p.m., late letters 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2,10 p.m, train. FEIDAY, OCTOBEE 25. For Kaikouraaud Wellington, per Tui. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on the Bth November. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
