LAND SALES. Mr Charles Clark reports that at his auction sale yesterday he had a very good attendance. The properties sold were as follows; —Half an acre of land in Sydenham for £3lO ; small plot of ground and cottage of three rooms near Waltham Hotel for 45150 j quarter-acre and store at Sheffield for £175; town section at South Eakaia for £77 10s. The other properties offered were withdrawn, not realising owners' prices. In private sales during current week he reports as follows Several sections in Matheson’s road, Perry road, at £7O each. Three acres in allotments fronting the River Avon, below Bingsland, averaging £3OO per acre. Mr Knapman’s property at the junction of Durham and Salisbury streets, for £3500. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Sellers: South British, 70s; New Zealand Insurance, 87s 6d; Union Insurance, 16s 6d; Guthrie and Larnach, 59s ; Colonial Bank, 58s; Albumia, 80s ; Kurunui Hill, 10s; Moanatairi, 355; Tokatea, 8s 6d.
