POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8. For Akoroa and Otago, per Wuuaka, at 11.30 a.m.; late letters, 11.50 a.m. j railway station, 13.10 p.m. train. For Sydney, Brisbane, and Newcastle (and other Australian Colonies if specially addressed), per Easoy.at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 3.10 p.m. j railway station, 3.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui, at 3 p.m.; late letters, 3.30 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m, train. WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa. The next English mail, via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post-office, Christchurch on Friday, October 11th, This mail is due in London on November noth. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
