POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subjeot to the necessary alterations:— THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3. For Northern Ports, per Taranaki, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5. For Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 11.30 a.m.; late letters, 11.40 a.m.; railway station, 12.10p.m. train. For Otago, per Rotorua. The next Englishman, via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post-office, Christchnrch on Friday, October 11th. This mail is due in London on November 26th. _ SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
