Arrived—Parcora, ship, from London, 92 days out. The City of New York arrived from Sydney. Tho schooner Si3sy sailed for Lyttelton with a cargo of timber, shipped at the Thames mills. Sailed—Taiaroa, for the South. Passengers for Lyttelton—Messrs Wood, Kohn, Chaplin, Mr and Mrs Burford. Tho fore-and-aft schooner Tubal Cain was launched by Niecol and Sons to-day, and will probably be put on the L-iland trade. Tho Rotorua took twenty-four passengers for Sydney, and the City of New York fifteen for San Francisco. Buth sailed this afternoon. Tho Pareora bronght seventeen passengers and a car;.jo valued at £34,800, from London. She experienced fearful weather. Arrived-Barqnentine Jessie McDonald, from Foo Chow. She left on the 7th July. She hrings 8882 packages tea and U7o packages matting and sundries. The ship and cargo are consigned to Ttu-nbull and Co.j 4.20 p.m., Hawea, from Lyttelton.

Westport, September 17. Arrived—Brigantine Augusta, from Port Chalmers, with raiiway iron for Westport Colliery Company. The steamer Tararua last night, on the run from Nelson to Westport, got agronud for four hours at the Spit, close to where the Queen Bee was wrecked. The cause assigned was the aberration of the coinpasses, owing to a quantity Taranaki titanic sand being aboard as cargo. Invercarwll, September 17.

The Oreti was got off yesterday atternoon, and taken to the Pier. She had strained herself severely, and when surveyed to-day it was found that several of the frames of the midships section were broken. This is the extent of the damage. Her plates are intact, only one rivet having started, and her gear is not affected. She is to ship enough timber to stay her, and return ot once to Port Chalm rs to be d.cked.
