Mails close at tlio Chief Post Office for the following places as tinder, subject to the necessary alterations: — SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Taranaki, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m,; railway station, 12.10 p m. train. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14. For Northern ports, per Hawea, at 3 p.m. ; lato letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom for correspondence specially marked via Suez or via Brindisi will leave Lyttelton per s.s. Ringarooma on Tuesday, the 24th September.
