POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at tlio Chief Post Office for the following places as tinder, subject to the necessary alterations: — SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Taranaki, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m,; railway station, 12.10 p m. train. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14. For Northern ports, per Hawea, at 3 p.m. ; lato letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom for correspondence specially marked via Suez or via Brindisi will leave Lyttelton per s.s. Ringarooma on Tuesday, the 24th September. The mails are due in London via Suez on November 25th, via Brindisi on November 18th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
