For Wellington, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; lato letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Wellington, Westport, and Greymonth, per Luna, The next English mail, via San Francisco, will close on Friday, September 13th. ALTERATION AND ACCELERATION OF MAILS. Special mails for Ashburton, Timarn, Oamaru, Port Chalmers, and Dunedin will close on Thursday, sth inst., at 6 p.m. Notice.— On and after Saturday, 7th inst., mails for despatch by express train will close daily at 7.30 a.m. for the following offices :—Eakaia, Ashburton, Temuka, Timarn, St. Andrews, Waimate Junction, Waimnte, Waitaki, Oamaru, Palmerston, Wftikonaiti, Port Chalmers, and Dnuedin. The Lyttelton mails now closing at 3.20 p.m., will close at 3.30 p.m. daily. KampoC'feangiora, O^OT^F'ernsl^e^SfeesS-m" and Southbridge, now closing at 3.20 p.m., will close at 4 p.m. daily.
