The signal of a ship from the South was mado this morning, but up to the time of our express leaving port she was too tar off for her number to be signalled. The Bride of Lorn, Palata, and Lutterworth are all due, but it will probably prove to be the former, which has now been a long time out. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Auckland, August 17. Arrived—Lady Jocelyn, ship, from London, with 850 Vesey Stewart special immigrants. The Lady Jocelyn had a flue voyage of ninety days. A series of calms were experienced, but very little rough Weather. The passengers are all well and in high Spirits. The Hinemoa towed her up the harbor. It is uncertain whether the captain will allow the ship to bo towed to Tanxangaaa he has cargo for Auckland and a large amount for Melbourne. Bluff, August 19. The s.s. Arawata left Melbourne on the 14th with the Suez mail. She had strong westerly winds the first two days, then light southerly till arrival at seven this morning. Sho brings 36 saloon and 20 steerage passengers, and 400 tons cargo lor all ports. She leaves for Dunedin at 4 p.m. Passengers for Lyttelton—Mrs Taylor, Mr and Mrs Warner, Messrs Blake, and Osborne, six in steerage, and 40 tons of cargo.
