POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mutla close at the Chief Post Office for the {allowing places as under, subject to the necessary alterations: — THURSDAY, AUGUST 15. For Otago, overland, at 6 a m. FRIDAY, AUGUST 16.
Tor Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Wellington, Westport, Greymonth, Hokitika, and Australian Colonies, per Tararna, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10p.m.; railway station, 2.10 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tui, at 3 p.m.; late letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. train.
Mails per Rotorua will close as under — For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, America, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, Sydney, Brisbane, Ac., at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. Money orders, registered letters, newspapers and book packets at noon. Late letters for the above mails can be posted In the guard’s van attached to the Lyttelton train leaving Christchurch at 2.40 p m. on the 16th inst.
