♦ The Customs duties collected here on Thursday, August Bth, amounted to £414 6s lOd. Mr Charles Clark reports the following recent laud sales made by him : Town Lauds—The premises in Tuam street and Oxford terrace, formerly occupied by Mr Williams’ foundry, fetched £ISOO. Tnc leasehold interest in town section No. 385, in Armagh street west, for £llsO, A freehold plot of laud in Colombo street north, for £SOO. Suburban Lauds—sß6 acres of laud at St, Martin's on the Heathcote, for £7044. Six building allotments near the lliccarton road, just north of the railway, at £ 13, £SO, £B3, £B6, £IOO, and £2OO each. Two small plots in Colombo street south, at £IOO each. Building allotments at New Cambridge, Ferry road, at from £2O to £75 each. Building allotments at Willow Bank. Windmill road, at from £3O up to £65 each. Building allotments at the back of Woolston, Ferry road, at from £BO to £IOO each. Allotments near Wilson’s bridge, at £6O each. Sections in the township of Epsom, at from £SO up to £BO each. There was a fair attendance at Messrs R. Walton and Go’s land sale yesterday, but biddings were exceedingly languid. The property in the Whately road, known as Bligh’s Restaurant, comprising a freehold and leasehold; the freehold having about two and a half years lease at about £6O a year rental, and the leasehold having six and a quarter years to run at a ground reut of £3O a year let for the same term at £65 per annum, were sold, leasehold and freehold as one property. They realised £1250, Mr Bligh being the purchaser. The lease of the corner of Tuam aud Barbadoes streets having twenty-seven years to run at a, ground rent of £l2 per annum for the first seventeen yours, aud £ls per annum for the last ten years, realised £lO5. The cottage of four rooms in Aldred street, Durham street, was withdrawn at £2OO. The Ashburton property not reaching the reserves were also withdrawn.
