Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the X' ” swing places as under, subject to the necessary rations t—[WEDNESDAY, JULY 24. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, 3 p.m.; late letters 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. train. For Wellington, per Arawata. at 1.50 p.m.; late letters 2.10 p.m.; railway station. 2.40 p.m. train, THURSDAY, JULY 25. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Taranaki. The next Enlish mail via Southampton and Brindisi, will close at Chief Post Office, Christchurch, on or about Saturday, July 27th. A post office has been opened at New Brighton. SYDNEY J. DICK,
