Kestrel, ketch, 20 tons, Mortimer, for Pigeon Bay. Master, agent. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received advice of the arrival of their ship Wangamu in the Channel. It will be remembered that the Hon. E. W. Stafford and family were passengers by The Young Dick arrived in harbor from Wellington this morning, in ballast. The barque Planter, from Newcastle, was signalled this morning, and was beating up the harbor when our express left. t The s.s. Taiaroa arrived from Northern ports at 9 this morning, and sails for Dunedin this afterThe s.s. Arawata arrived from Wellington at 8, and sails for Melbourne via South this afternoon with the outward Suez mail. THE SCHOONER JESoIE NICHOLS. The schooner Jessie Nichols, commanded by Captain White, pat iato harbor yesterday, and reported being twenty-five days out from Manukau bound to Timaru with a cargo of timber, and thort of provisions. It appears the schooner left the Manukau on June 3rd, and had alternate gales and calms down the coast, arriving off Timaru on June 16th. Easterly winds drove the vessel to sea, and for six days thick fogs and a very heavy sea were encountered. After waiting several days and finding the vessel unable to reach Timaru, the schooner was steered for this port to obtain a supply oE provisions. For the last thirteen days the crew have been on very short allowance, the only provisions aboard during the whole of that time being biscuit and water. Having replenished her stores the schooner will probably sail for Timaru to-day, weather permitting. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Wellington, June 28.
