The Customs duties collected here on Thursday, June 26th. amounted to £B6B 9s lOd. LAND SALE. Messrs B. "Walton held a land sale y( sterday, and disposed of the following valuable properties :—l6 acres 3 roods on the Cold Stream run, No. 30774, realised £3 per acre ; 3 acres 2 roods on the road to Alford Forest, No. 31357, £4 10s per ac re; 18 acres adjoining the farms of A. Harrison and E. J. Powys, in the Ashburton district, were disposed of at £2 15s an acre; 78 acres adjoining Mr J. McGregor's Canterbury and Otago Company's farm were sold for £3 an acre. Part of town reserve No. 69 in Worcester street (two Jacre sections) fetched £350 each, and a cottage and house, to be removed within fourteen days, were sold for £2O and £4B respectively. The corner section of Barbadoes street and Lower High street realised £350, and section No. 2 was disposed of for £240. Lot 13, 73 feet fronting on Hereford street, with a depth of 82 feet, was sold at the high price of £B2 per foot. One acre 1 rood and 36 perches, *vith a frontage of 232 links on Helraore's road and .600 links on the road from the Mill Race, Eiccarton, realised £750, and 50 acres on the Eiver Styx, Bottle Lake road, brought £3 5s an acre. Miles, Hassal and Co. held a sale yesterday of land at Kaiapoi, rural section No. 33!iE, adjoining the town, George Hntcbinson, auctioneer. The attendance was good, and the bidding spirited. The •whole of the land was sold; prices up to £3O per acre.
