Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject ‘to the necessary JDHE2O> Tor Kaikoura and Wellington P er Dii, ■> P-™.; late letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, 4 p.m. tram. For Northern ports, per Taiaroa, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. tr For Wellington, Nelson, Westport, Greymouth, Hokitika, and Australian Colonies, per Tararua, at 1.60 p.m.; late lettersi, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. FRIDAY, JUNE 21, For Otago, overland, at 11 a m. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, West Indies, &c., Sydney, and Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Rotorua at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. , For money orders and registered letters at noon. For book packets and newspapers at noon.^ Late letters may be posted in the guard’s van attached to the 2.40 p.m. Lyttelton train, provided such letters bear in addition to the foil postage a further single rate as a late fee. The English mail per Rotorua will be due in London August Gth. SATURDAY, JUNE 22. For Otigo, per Taranaki, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters. 2,10 p.m ; railway station, 2.40 p.m. tram. SYDNEY J.
