Five sailors of the barque Mendoza were sentenced to throe weeks’ imprisonment with hard labor to-day for refusing to go to work this morning. They stated that the first mate was continually abusing them. A meeting is convened for Wednesday to consider what steps shall bo taken to start a new daily paper in Timaru.
