* The Customs duties collected hero on Saturday, May 25th, amounted to £275 15s Od. The items were as follows —Spirits, £IS7 19s 4d; wine, £5 8s • hcer, £7 12s Gd ; cocoa, £7 ; siifrar, £52 9s 7d ; ad’valorem, £1 8s ; other duties, £lO 18s 4d. At the sitting 1 of the Waste Lauds Board hold on Monday, May 27th, 4252 acres 2 roods were disposed of, re-Using £8505. The land is situated as under •—Ashley, 921 acres ; Solwyu, 4.,0 acres; Akaron, 722 acres 2 roods; Ashburton, 1504 acres; Geraldine, 501 acres ; Waimato, 101 acres.
