ENGLAND v. SCOTLAND. On March 4th, in charming weather, the eighth of the series of international matches between England and Scotland, according to the rules of the Rugby Union, was played at Kennington Oval. At 3.40 Stokes kicked off for England, but the Scotchmen played up hard, and at half-time no try had been obtained by either side. During the second half the play was equally unproductive, and the game ended without a try or goal on either side. Teams : England—A, W. Pearson (Blackheath) and H. E. Kayll (Sunderland), backs; L.
