INTBRPROVINOIAL [PKB PEEBB AGENCY.] Dunedin, May 8, A Commission, consisting of Messrs Charles Knight (Auditor-General), Strode, Bradshaw, W. H. Reynolds, and J. Fulton, is sitting to inquire into the working of the Employment of Factories Act. The meetings are conducted in private. The Caledonian Society’s classes this year promise to be even more successful than in former years. A number of last year’s students are now at the University. The Chairman of the Bruce County Council has forwarded a letter to the Minister of Linds, asking that the fee simple of tho Lakes in their district should be vested iu the Bruce County Council.
