Taiaroa arrived from Northern Ports at 8.30 this morning, and sails for Port Chalmers this afternoon. The John Knox arrived at Sydney April 20th. The brigantine Camilla sailed from Hobart Town on the 30th April, with a full cargo of timber, paliags, and shingles, consigned to W. H. Hargreaves. The ship 'Western Monarch, with 5243 sacks of Messrs Boyse, Stead and Co.’s wheat aboard, hau’ed into the stream at Port Chalmers on Wednesday last, to complete preparations for proceeding to this port, where she fills up with grain for London. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS, Auckland, May 3. Arrived—Kate McGregor, from Lyttelton. Sailed—Hero, for Sydney, with 34 passengers; Minnehaha, for Lyttelton ; Wanaka, for the South, via East Coast. Tho Hon. J. T. Pisher was a passenger. The Golden Sea, with Cooper and Bailey’s Circus, sails to-morrow. Wellington, May 3. Sailed —Taiaroa, for Lyttelton and Dunedin, at 2.30 p.m. Passengers—Messrs Ewing, Graham, E. Johnstone, McGregor (2), Spier and family, Misses Muir, Mr Seed. Port Chalmers, May 3. Arrived—Albion Company’s ship Otago, 91 days from Glasgow. She brings 1200 tons cargo, and twelve passengers. Experienced adverse winds right across the Southern Ocean, only getting twelve days westerly winds. No vessels were spoken during the passage. Wellington, May 4. The barque Camnore, belonging to the Now Zealand Shipping Company, is at the Heads —108 days out.
