Mails close at the Chief Post Offloe for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations: — WEDNESDAY, MAY 1. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Northern Porta and Kaikoura, per Tni, at 4.45 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for Tui's mails. THURSDAY, MAY 2. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. Northern Ports, May 3rd. English Mail and Australian colonies, May 4th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
