The Customs duties collected here on Saturday, April 27th. amounted to £373 17s lid The items were as follows :—Spirits, £139 18s; tea, £27 10s; goods by weight, £3B 10s lldj ad valorem, £164 Ids; other duties, £3 ss. At the sitting of the "Waste Lands Board, held on Monday, April 29th, 4278 acres 1 rood 5 perches were disposed of, realising £8556 lis 3d. The land s situated as under:—Ashley, 1383 acres ; Selwyn, 30 acres; Akaroa, 176 acres; Ashburton, 461 acres 1 rood 5 perches; Geraldine, 294 acres, and Waimate 1931 acres.
