COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Auckland, April 26. Southern flour auctioned to-day realised £9 to £l4 per ton. Potatoes, £3 4s. Provincial hams, 6sd to 7d; butter, 6d to lid. Best steers are quoted at 26s per lOOlbs; long-woolled ewes, 4s to 6s 6d each ; wether* 13s to 18s do. Share Market Buyers : National Bank, 755; Colonial, 52s 6d; South British Insurance, 63s ; New Zealand, £6 2s fid. Timaru, April 26. Grain quotations show a heavy fall compared with last week. Wheat is down to from 3s lOd to 4s 2d; oats to 3s 2d, some merchants even declining to give these prices. Very few transactions have taken place, as farmers will not operate at such low rates. Oamaru, April 26. Grain is being delivered in large quantities, but the market is dull. Farmers are still holding back in hope that buyers will give higher prices. Prime milling wheat, 4s: oats, 3s to 3s 3d; malting barley, 4s 6d to 4s 9d; flour, £ll 5s to £ll 15s;; oatmeal, £l6; pearl barley, £2O; pollard, £5 5s bran, 4s; potatoes, £2. ENGLISH MARKETS.
