The Customs duties collected on Wednesday, April 10th, amounted to £llOl 6s sd. The items were as follows; —Spirits, £302 17s 7d; wine, £3b 9s lid : beer, £9116s 3d; tobacco, £123 15s ; tea, M 3 16s • sugar, £3117s Id; ad valorem, £319 4s; goods by weight, £56 3s lOd; other duties, £95 6s 6d. At the sittings of the Waste Lands Board held Thursday, April 11th, 2958 acres were disposed of, realising £5916. The land is situated as under:— Ashley, 300 acres; Selwyn, 704 acres 2 roods; Akaroa, 308 acres 2 roods ; Ashburton, 1390 acres; Geraldine, 55acres; Waimate, 200 acres. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS.
