The Customs duties collected here on Friday, April sth, amounted to P 626 13s sd. The items ■were— Spirits, ASS 18s 3d; wine, £29 0s lid ; heer, £9 10s ; tobacco, £SB 17s 6d; tea, £BB 4s Od; sugar, £B6 Is 6d ; ad valorem, £lßl 18s; goods by weight, £25 6s Id ; other duties, £SB 17s 2d. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following telegiam this day from their London offices : Wool—The sales, comprising about 225,000 bales, closed at an average decline of Jd to Id on last sale prices. 125,GMX) bales have been taken for export, and 37,000 held over for future disposal, the princ pal decline has been in medium and inferior greasy, which has declined Id per lb since close of last sale. Lambs—Market firmer. Crossbred, easier. Trade in the manufacturing districts is unci auged. The home trade are purchasing sparingly. There is a moderate competition on French account.
