CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, March 29. [Before Q-. L. Lee, Esq., and Dr. Back, J.P.’s.] Drunkenness.— John McEvoy was fined ss. Two first offenders were fined 5s each, and one who had been in charge of a horse and cart 10s. Slaughter-house License —The application of a license to slaughter on his premises, Sandhills, was granted to James Forrester. LYTTELTON, Friday, March 29. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Lunacy from Drink. —Thomas Watt was brought up charged with this offence, and on the certificates of Drs Rouse and Macdonald, was committed to Sunnyside.
