Mohr, £33, reduced to £23 ; G-eorge Booth, £9O {house and vacant section), assessment divided and confirmed ; J. R. Johnston, £45, reduced to £36; Heathcote Road Board, £l5O (gravel pit), assessment reduced to £3O; J. Milsom, £32, reduced to £l9. J. Gt. Clarke, £46, reduced to £43. ALTERATIONS ON ROLL, A number of applications to alter names on the roll were allowed. ABSENT OBJECTORS. In cases where the objectors did no appear when called, the assessments were confirmed. The Court then rose. AVON ROAD BOARD. The assessor, GK L. Mellish, Esq., held an Assessment Court at the Road Board office, Papanui road This morning, at 10 o’clock twelve objections had been sent in, but of these six were not heard, as no one appeared to sustain them. The other six were dealt with as detailed below:—Harold S. Smith, section 105, reduced from £2OO to £l9O ; John Thomas Warren, section 257, reduced from £l3O to £96; Thomas Lloyd, section 252, assessment sustained at £24; James Childs, section 205, assessment sustained at £2l; Benjamin Taaffe, section 555, reduced from £6O to £55 ; Thomas Williams, section 311, assessment sustained at £2O.
