POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject [to the necessary alterations ; FRIDAY, MARCH 29. For Otago and Australian Colonies, via Hobart Town, per Albion, at 11 a.m.; lato letters, 11.20 p.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, America, Canada, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, and Sydney, at 2.50 p.m.; late letters, 3 p.m. For newspapers and book packets, at 2 p.m. For money orders, at noon. For registered letters, at 1 p.m. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard’s van attached to the 4 p.m. Lyttelton train, provided such letters bear in addition to the full postage a further single rate of postage as a late fee. The English mail per Rotorua will be dne in London on May 14th. The American mail, per Rotorna, will he due in San Francisco on April 25th, SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
