POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations TUESDAY, MARCH 26. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Taupo, at 3 p.xn.; late letters, 3.20 p.m.j railway station, 4 p.m. train. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, 4.45 p.m. Guard’s van must not bo used for Wanaka’s mail. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27. For Wellington, Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika, per Grafton, at 3 p.m. ; late letters, 3.20 p.m j railway station, 4 p.m. train. For Wellington, per Star of the South, at 11.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tui, at '4.45 p.m. Guard’s van must not be used for Tui’s mail. For South and Australian Colonies, on or about March 28th. The next outward English mail, via San Francisco will close at Christchurch on Friday, March 29th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
