War Preparations in England,

Movements of the European Fleets, Postponement of Wool Sales. London, February 13. Active military naval preparations are being made. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, in reply to a question, said he hoped to announce on Thursday that the British Ironclad Squadron had arrived at Constantinople. Several Austrian ironclads are starting for the Levant, Tho Channel squadron is ordered to rendezvous at Gibraltar as a port of call. The Assam arrived at Galle on Feb. 12tb. Evening. The Turkish Government notified its protest against the entry of the British squadron into the Dardanelles. The opening of tho Colonial wool sales was postponed to 26th February.

The Pope left two wills. The first leaves three and a half million francs annually to his successor for the expenses of the Papacy. The second leaves his nephews legatees to the amount of three hundred thousand francs, and the remainder to the poor of Rome. The wool ships arrived in time for the February sales include the Invercauld and Waimato.

The Appeal Court upset the conviction in the Bradlaugh-Bcsant case. The Government purchased two Turkish ironclads, which wore detained as contraband of war in the Thames.
