Mails olose at the Chief Post Offioe for the fallowing planes aw under, subject to necessary alterations:--■• TUESDAY, Bth JAN. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Northern ports, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, per 2.40 p.m. train. For Southern ports and Australian colonics, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters at 2.10 p.m.; railway statiou per 2.40p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per ltn, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for Tui's mails. WEDNESDAY, oth JAN. For Otago, ovsrlaud, at 6 a.m. and II am. For Akaroa and Otago, per Ladybird. For Wellington and Nelson, per Arawata. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, on Friday, the 11th instant, at 10 a.m. The next Eng.ish mail (via Southampton and Brindisi) will close at Christchnrch on or about the 14th inst.
