At the sitting of the Waste Lands Board on Thursday, January 3rd, 974 acres were disposed of, realising £1948. The land is situated asunder:— Ashburton, 279 acres; Selwyn, 252 acres; Geraldine, 423 acres; Waimate, 20 acres. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Dunedin, January 3. Mr Henry Driver reports Wheat , little animation—Milling, 4s 6d to 5s for good samples. Oats in brisk demand ; supplies coming slowly. Barley, none offering; demand slack.
