The Hawen, s.s., arrived from Port, Chalmers at D. 15 this morning, and sails for Auckland, via East Const, this afternoon. The brigantine Island Lily, for Chatham Islands, and the Spray, schooner, for Wanganui, sailed last evening. ARRIVAL OF THE N.Z.S. CO S. SHIP OPAWA. This ship was signalled lust night. She left Plymouth on September 27th, and has therefore been 98 days on the passage from p rt to port. The Opawa has aboard eleven saloon passengers and 260 immigrants. Her cargo, particulars of whic will be found in our import column, is a large and valuable one. No further particulars are to hand, as the ship was not cleared last night; but a detailed report of the passage vnll appear iu to* morrow’s issue. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Bluff, January 3. The Tararua arrived this morning. She left Melbourne on the 24th at 4.30 p.m., arrived at Hobart Town on the 26th ; left on the 28th, had fine weather along the Coast. She brings 33 saloon and 30 steerage passengers and 209 tons of cargo for nil ports. She sailed at 4 p.m. for Dunedin. Passengers for Lyttelton—Mrs Chnp aell Cheden, Misses Lucas, Kishlar, Messrs Goodsir, Saker; nine in steerage, and 42 tons. Poet Chalmers, January 3. Sailed—Hawea, for Auckland, via East Const.
