The revenue collected at the Customs on Friday, December 14th, amounted to £399 4s 6d. The following were the items:—Wines and spirits, £74 16s 8d ; bottled beer, £23 8s 9d ; tobacco, £SO; tea, £45 15s; sugar, £ll9 9s 9d; dried fruits, £5 12s 6d ; drapery and wearing apparel, £25 4s; boots, £1114s; grindery, £4 6s ; paints and oils, £l7 19s; sundries, £2O 18s lOd. Also, on Saturday, December 15th, the Customs revenue amounted to £lB2 2s 4d tne items as follows :—Wines and spirits, £136 19s 3d; sugar, £aß 10s 7d ; saddlery, £7 14s; boots, £sloa; sundries, £3 8s 6d. LIVE STOCK MAEKET. Messrs Clifford and Co., Cashel street, report on their usual weekly sale, December 15th, as follows :-Cattle-Cows in profit, £8 10s ; young calves, 14s to 275. About 20 of the latter class of stock yarded, all quite young, and selling readily at above quotations ; the demand for such still holding eood Pigs The pens were moderately well Stocked, and prices slightly in advance of last week's Small stores, 6s to 10s ; stores (medium), Us 6d to Us ; small fat pigs, 16s to 19s; sows, 25s to 30s. Owners of pigs are still holding oft expectinjrhigher prices for their stock. Poultry-1 he pens were all filled, and the approaching holidays cause a good figure to be obtained tor all kinds of poultry At the day's sale fowls, per pair, realised from 3s 6d to 5s ; ducks, 4s to 5s tid ; geese, 6s to 10s • turkeys, 13s to 275. The demand for poultry just now is good, as above prices will show. Our annual Christmas sale on Saturday ne*t will no doubt bring a large stock to market, and good S nw7bc expected.
