Disasteotjs Htjeeicane.—A district in New South Wales was lately visited by a hurricane of a very severe character. In addition to the disasters already reported from the Grenfell district, the Presbyterian Church, [public hospital, public school, Anglican parsonage, dour company’s mills, the" principal stores, and numerous other buildings, sustained serions injury. The farming community have suffered enormously, and many have been utterly ruined. The hurricane and hail came from a, north-westerly direction, extending eastward many miles, and cutting down all the standing crops. The wheat is totally destroyed, the grain being literally threshed out of the stacks, and blown away, and a number of cattle and sheep were killed by the falling trees.
