Since our preceding issue, as far back as 31st August, with changes upward and downward in the values of the Government stocks, the result on the ivhole shows for to-day a general rise, amounting >n average to almost I per cent. The rise has been nost conspicuous in some of the New Zealand and -iouth Australian Government, and in all the Town Hid Harbour Loans.
